Fun way to get data for analysis

Sometimes it's fun to conduct your own process control or improvement experiments to help you understand the abstract statistics taught in Six Sigma. Click here for a test of your reflexes. The site times how quickly you react to virtual sheep trying to break away from the virtual herd. You can analyze the data in a variety of ways. For example, you can create x-bar/R charts, try different strategies and use ANOM or ANOVA to see if they work, calculate confidence intervals on your reaction time, etc..

By the way, the best I could do was "Bobbing Bobcat." Back in the day I'm sure I would've been a "Turbo-charged cheetah!"

It was fun for a few goes then got very nauseating. I do agree with Luca, Lumosity is something I really enjoy to do as often as I can, as for positscience, I am on my way later to have a look. :-)

another good site is freerice.com .

here, every right answered multiple choice question earns 10 grains of rice for the United Nations food program.

advantages: trains the brain, does good to someone else (similar to care2 daily donations) and is absolutely free (apart from the time...)
